October Illuminate 2026 – Immerse Winter Lights at the Gardens

This winter, as darkness  beings to fall across West Dorset, the Subtropical Gardens come alive with a magical world of light.

Abbotsbury Illuminate invites you to wander through the gardens and woodland valley, where familiar plants and pathways are transformed after dark. Follow the glowing trail and discover vibrant displays that bring the landscape to life, with light, colour, shapes and textures around every turn.

And this year, there’s even more to explore. Our longest Illuminate route yet takes you further into the gardens, with more spectacular displays and magical moments to discover along the way.

Whether you’re looking for a special family evening, add a glow to your season or simply something a little different to brighten a dark night, Illuminate is an experience for all ages.
